Clear identities and websites you can run yourself, made for small businesses and independent organisations. You work with one designer from the first call to the final file.
Sprints for November and December are open. Retainers can start from January.

What I take on
Four kinds of work, each scoped to a fixed quote. If your project spans two lanes, the brief form lets you say so and I'll put together a combined scope.
01
Brand identity
A logo, type pairing, colour system and a short usage guide that anyone on your team can follow without a designer in the room.
Good fit when
You're launching, renaming, or your materials no longer look like they belong to the same business.
You receive
Master logo files, colour and type specs, templates for social and documents, and a guide as a PDF.
02
Marketing websites
Focused sites of five to fifteen pages, designed and built on an editor you can update yourself, with pages written to answer real buyer questions.
Good fit when
People ask you questions your current site should already answer, or you can't change it without a developer.
You receive
Sitemap, page designs, a built and tested site, basic search setup, and a recorded editing walkthrough.
03
Editorial & reports
Annual reports, journals, menus and long documents laid out so they read calmly on paper and on screen.
Good fit when
You have strong content that is currently hard to read or looks different every time.
You receive
A layout grid and styles, print-ready and accessible PDF exports, and editable source files.
04
Design support
A set number of days each month for campaigns, new pages, pitch decks and the small fixes that pile up after a launch.
Good fit when
You already have a brand and need a steady pair of hands who knows it.
You receive
Reserved days, a shared request list, and a monthly check-in to plan the next month.
Selected work
Recent projects
A cross-section of recent projects. Full case notes are shared on the first call, so they can be matched to your project.
Scope
Naming support, wordmark, warm colour system, packaging labels and a shop signage guide.
Alder & Pine Bakery
A new identity that works on paper bags, chalkboards and receipts.
Identity
Scope
Content audit, sitemap, project gallery templates and an editor the team updates themselves.
Tidewater Architects
A portfolio website organised around the questions clients ask first.

How a project runs
Four steps, no surprises
I'm Wren Addison, and North Field is just me. That means no account managers and no hand-offs. The person you brief is the person who designs, builds and delivers.
01Week 0
Brief & call
A thirty-minute call to talk through goals, audience and constraints, followed by a written proposal with a fixed quote.
From youYour brief, any existing materials, and who signs off.
02Weeks 1–2
Direction
Two distinct design routes, presented with reasoning. We choose one together and agree what "finished" looks like.
From youOne round of consolidated feedback.
03Weeks 2–5
Build & refine
The chosen route becomes real files, pages or layouts. You see progress in a shared review link each week.
From youCopy, images and timely answers to open questions.
04Final week
Handover
Organised files, a usage guide or editing walkthrough, and two weeks of follow-up support for small fixes.
From youFinal sign-off and access to any accounts needed for launch.
Ways to work
Pick the arrangement
Each option is quoted after the first call, so the price reflects your actual scope rather than a package that nearly fits.
Short & focused
Workshop day
A single working day to untangle a brand question, plan a site or review what you already have.
If your question isn't here, add it to the brief and it will be answered in the first reply.
How do you work out a quote?
After the first call I write a proposal that lists every deliverable, the number of feedback rounds and the timeline. The quote is fixed against that list. If the scope changes, we agree the change in writing before any extra work starts.
Who owns the finished work?
You do. Once the final invoice is paid, full rights to the final logo, layouts and website files transfer to you. I may show the project in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.
What happens if we need more revisions?
Each stage includes two rounds of consolidated feedback, which covers most projects. Extra rounds are quoted as a small add-on, so you always know the cost before agreeing.
Will I be able to update the website myself?
Yes. Sites are built on an editor chosen for your team's comfort level. Every handover includes a recorded walkthrough of common edits such as text, images and new pages.
How does payment work?
Project sprints take a deposit to reserve the start date, with the balance due at handover. Workshops are paid when booking and support retainers monthly in advance. Invoices are sent by email.
Do you work with clients remotely?
All projects run remotely, with video calls, a shared review link and one written summary after each meeting. That way everyone has a clear record of what was decided.
Start a brief
Tell me about the project
A few lines is enough to start. Share what you're making, roughly when you need it, and anything that's worrying you about it.
A personal reply within two working days, with any first questions.
A thirty-minute video call at a time that suits you.
A written proposal with scope, timeline and a fixed quote.
